WHAT does PTE stand for?
PTE is a standardized test which stands for Pearson Tests of English

The Pearson Tests of English (PTE) is designed to assess the English language proficiency of students who are non-native speakers of English. It helps you in overseas employment opportunities or admission to foreign universities.

Format of PTE

The duration of the test is of 3 hours. There will be 3 sections in the exam- Speaking and Writing, Reading, Listening. This is a computer-based exam and the student will be graded on the computer itself. Students will get the results of the test within 5 days.

 

All the questions are random and the different sections will be of varying lengths. So, no two exams will be the same.

    Scoring Patterns of PTE

    This section has multiple choice questions with only correct option.

    This types of questions can be partially correct and graded accordingly. The ‘Read Aloud’ section is of this type.
